Assistant Professor, Brigham Young University
Hi, I’m Brady Moon, an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at Brigham Young University. I recently completed my PhD in robotics at Carnegie Mellon University, where I worked with Dr. Sebastian Scherer in the Robotics Institute.
My research focuses on robot autonomy—particularly path planning and machine learning—with the goal of developing systems that are effective, adaptive, and genuinely useful in real-world environments. I care deeply about thoughtful design, meaningful innovation, and continual learning, and I’m always drawn to technically challenging problems that can improve people’s lives.
